Luxury Hotels with Private Pools for Couples: Choose the Exact Category

Only5Star Editorial

Fact-checked as of 15 October 2026

A private pool can make a romantic escape feel more personal. It does not necessarily mean a swimming-length pool, an adults-only hotel or a terrace hidden from every other guest. These are editorial suggestions for couples; the accommodation category matters more than the hotel name alone.

Who This Is For

Couples who value their own outdoor space and want to compare pool size, heating, outlook and room layout. Ask for the exact category and a recent plan or photographs, including sightlines from neighbouring rooms and paths.

Who This Is NOT For

If shared restaurants, other guests or staff access would undermine the trip, discuss those concerns before paying. A room’s private pool does not make the entire resort exclusive-use.

Our Curated Selections

1. The Sarojin, Khao Lak, Thailand

The Sarojin distinguishes its Pool Residence from the Jacuzzi Pool Suite. The former has a private pool; the latter has an outdoor heated Jacuzzi pool and a separate indoor lounge. Choose according to how you want to use the water rather than treating the categories as interchangeable. Ask about the specific terrace’s screening and any proposed private excursion’s itinerary, access and charges.

2. Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa, St. Barthélemy

The current room collection lists La Suite Océan Piscine Privée with an ocean-view terrace and private pool. Le Barth Océan Jacuzzi instead lists a hot tub; Aqua and Bleu are larger villa options with private pools. A beachfront room or ocean view alone does not establish that a pool is included. For two guests, compare the named suite with the larger villas before paying for space you do not need.

3. Grace Hotel, Auberge Collection, Santorini, Greece

The Infinity Suite with Pool has a private heated infinity pool, terrace and separate living room. These suites are adjacent to Grace Hotel and have access to its amenities. The caldera outlook is the attraction; request details of neighbouring terraces and public sightlines if visual privacy is a priority. A dramatic view is not a guarantee that nobody can see the terrace.

4. The Brando, Tetiaroa, French Polynesia

The Brando’s one-, two- and three-bedroom villas have their own pools and outdoor living areas close to the beach. The one-bedroom villa is a useful starting point for couples, while the larger options suit groups. The resort also welcomes families. Ask about the chosen villa’s position, the pool specification, beach access and meal inclusions; do not assume exclusive use of the surrounding coastline.

5. Jade Mountain, Saint Lucia

Jade Mountain has 24 infinity-pool sanctuaries and five Sky suites without a pool. Select an infinity-pool category if that is central to the stay. The open-sided design is a distinctive part of many sanctuaries, but check the exact category and cooling arrangements. The resort does have shared facilities, so the accommodation is not a wholly self-contained private resort.

The current booking policy excludes overnight guests under 16. Its wedding FAQ allows children over 10 to attend weddings under close supervision. An older official fact file stated 15; if travelling with a teenager, obtain written confirmation of the current overnight rule rather than relying on the older document. No property-wide promise of complete visual privacy or flawless service is implied by this selection.
