Why are these four not the same product?
Each resort sells a different thing under a similar label, so compare the plan rather than the resort name. Excellence Playa Mujeres is an adults-only resort where all-inclusive is the standard format across the property. Hermitage Bay offers a choice of all-inclusive or bed-and-breakfast rates, and states that it reopens on 12 October 2026 — confirm the reopening directly before you travel. Hurawalhi Maldives offers All-Inclusive Plus as an optional plan, not as the only way to stay. Jade Mountain's broadest inclusions sit in a named package, Total Romance 2026; that package is not the same as every room rate at the resort. Which one fits your trip?
This is a verdict by fit, not a ranking, and it is Only5Star editorial judgement based on published terms. Choose Excellence Playa Mujeres for the simplest resort-wide format and 24-hour room service, noting that spa and golf are outside the stated all-inclusive scope and the airport transfer depends on how and what you book. Consider Hermitage Bay when an all-inclusive rate plus a private round-trip airport transfer matters, provided the 12 October reopening has gone ahead and you are comfortable with its clearly published chargeable upgrades. Choose Hurawalhi only after accepting that 5.8, in-villa dining, spa, other watersports and excursions, and Champagne Pavilion sunset drinks sit outside All-Inclusive Plus, and that the seaplane is not listed among its inclusions. Choose Jade Mountain's Total Romance package when a pre-bundled itinerary is useful to you — remembering that unused features cannot be refunded or exchanged, and that the package is not the same as a base room rate.
Excellence Playa Mujeres: the most complete resort-wide format
Excellence Playa Mujeres states that the resort is adults-only for guests aged 18 and over. Its all-inclusive covers suites, unlimited international dining, cocktails and beverages, 24-hour room service, daily activities and classes, entertainment and nightly shows, non-motorised watersports, pools and beach amenities. There are eleven dining options; most need no reservation, but Teppanyaki at Spice does. Golf is not included, and the Miile Spa is presented as a separate service with its own offers, so do not assume treatments are part of the rate. The free round-trip transfer from Cancún airport applies only to new direct, suite-only reservations of at least three nights. Book through a third party or as part of a flight package and the transfer is not included.
Hermitage Bay: all-inclusive with private transfers, once reopened
Hermitage Bay describes itself as adults-only, while stating that teenagers over 14 are welcome; guests must be 18 to stay in a villa alone. If you want a stay without teenagers, that wording matters. The all-inclusive rate covers breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon snacks, cocktail-hour canapés and sushi, premium branded drinks, selected house wines, rosé or white Champagne, and a minibar replenished daily. Non-motorised watersports, cooking and sushi demonstrations, garden tours and hiking are included. The resort publishes its upgrades plainly: deluxe branded drinks, the full wine list, room service, private dining, picnic lunches, motorised watersports, fishing, private boats, island tours, golf, tennis and spa treatments are extra. Its Q&A states complimentary round-trip private airport transfers for all guests, with meet-and-greet and fast-track; the resort is about 45 minutes by road from Antigua's airport. The site gives a reopening date of 12 October 2026 — confirm it is open for your dates before booking flights.
Hurawalhi Maldives: an optional plan with defined limits
Hurawalhi's All-Inclusive Plus is an optional plan. It includes meals at Canneli, a three-course dine-around lunch and dinner at Kashibo and JFK, specified drinks, a daily-refilled minibar, one half-bottle of Champagne per stay, one regularly scheduled sunset dolphin cruise, listed sport and fitness access, kayaks and windsurfing, scheduled group snorkelling and windsurfing lessons, and group fitness and yoga. It excludes lunch and dinner at 5.8, the resort's extra-charge undersea restaurant, as well as destination and in-villa dining, spa, other watersports and excursions, unlisted drinks, minibar Champagne and sunset drinks at the Champagne Pavilion. The resort is reached by a 40-minute daylight seaplane from Malé; the plan does not list that transfer as included, so confirm the separate transfer cost and timetable before booking. On age, the published wording differs: the getting-here page says the resort welcomes guests above the age of 15, while the fact sheet says aged 15 and over. If anyone in your party is 15, get written confirmation first.
Jade Mountain: a named package, not a room rate
Jade Mountain states that it does not accept children under 16. Its widest inclusions sit in the Total Romance 2026 package, for two sharing with a minimum of three nights. The package includes your chosen accommodation, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, most alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, both-way airport transfers, arrival drinks, a fridge amenity and Champagne, listed tours, guided snorkelling, a beginner dive course or two dives for certified divers, a one-hour Swedish massage per person, biking, sailing and non-motorised activities. Unused features are non-refundable, non-exchangeable and non-transferable, so the package suits travellers who will use what it bundles. Outside the package, standard room rates are quoted for single or double occupancy, optional meal plans exist with surcharges on some premium cuts and lobster, and spa, scuba, excursions and incidentals can be chargeable.
