What a Seychelles Honeymoon Actually Costs in 2026

Villa rates, flights, inter-island transfers and the extras nobody prices in — plus where to spend and where to save.

The Short Answer

Seychelles is priced above Mauritius and roughly level with the Maldives for equivalent luxury — but the cost curve is flatter because you can mix a main-island villa with two or three private-island nights instead of committing to one resort. Budget US$16–24k all-in for a strong 7-night honeymoon for two, or US$60k+ if North Island is the whole trip.

Villa Rates by Tier (2026)

Main-island luxury (US$900–1,600/night): Four Seasons Resort Seychelles Mahé, Raffles Praslin, Constance Lémuria. Adults-only all-inclusive (US$1,700–2,400/night): Anantara Maia. Private island (US$1,300–1,500/night): Six Senses Zil Pasyon, Four Seasons Desroches. Whole-island exclusivity (US$5,500–8,000/night): Frégate Island Private, North Island. Rates dip 20–30% in the May–June and September–October shoulders.

Getting There and Moving Around

No direct flights from Australia — Emirates via Dubai and Etihad via Abu Dhabi are the reliable routings at US$1,800–2,600 return in business, US$1,200–1,500 in premium economy. From Europe, Mahé is a 9–10 hour flight from London or Paris. Inside Seychelles: Mahé to Praslin is 15 minutes by Air Seychelles (US$80–120 pp) or 60 minutes by Cat Cocos ferry (US$60). Helicopter transfers to private islands run US$300–450 per person.

The Extras Nobody Budgets For

Dining outside half-board: US$250–400 per day per couple, more on private islands where there is no off-property option. Spa: US$220–380 for a 90-minute treatment. Excursions: a Vallée de Mai and Anse Lazio day on Praslin is US$150–250 per couple; a private charter to Curieuse and St Pierre is US$700–1,100. Tips are not compulsory but budget 5%.

Where to Spend and Where to Save

Spend on: the island mix (3 nights main island + 4 nights private island beats 7 nights of either), one private charter day, and a cliffside or beachfront villa category over a garden room. Save on: flying premium economy instead of business and putting the difference into a higher villa category; taking the ferry to Praslin rather than the plane; travelling in the May–June shoulder, which is the best value-to-weather window of the year.
